In this blog I will explore ancient artworks and other interesting drawings and paintings that I can find online. I will share my thoughts with you. I will try to explain what I "take away" from any given piece of art. I might also try to sketch some of the designs that appeal to me. My hope is that this blog will articulate itself into an interesting compilation of great, but relatively unknown artworks.
It should be said that I know absolutely nothing about art. I've never been great at anything artistic, and until recently, I wasn't really interested in drawings, sculptures, etc. An idea struck me that perhaps ancient peoples, who dealt with problems vastly more serious than almost anyone deals with today, might have tried to pass something down within these works. This is an attempt to extract whatever value I can from them, aside from "look, it's pretty".
Well... here goes what might very well end up as a beautiful disaster.
